Is my CPU holding back my GPU?

I have a XFX 680i LT Mobo, Q6600 clocked @ 2.4ghz stock and a NVidia Geforce 280 GTX...

I have read a couple reviews and I think that my CPU clock might be holding back my GPU from functioning fully.. any thoughts? :confused:
 
Hmmm, your cpu is still pretty decent but your vid card certain out paces it. I'm not sure what you're trying to put your rig through but I could see you benefiting from a more robust processor.
If you think you're in the market for an upgrade any of these processors will fit the socket of you motherboard.
