Apologies if this is stating the obvious but have you tried booting into Safe Mode or Enabling VGA mode at boot?

Hi,

Its very strange in the screen shot, its talking about an error maybe due to a hardware change I think, but the little smilely faces.. I wonder if something is corrupt on the hard drive or a virus? Will it boot to your windows CD? Maybe try disconnecting everything except for a stick of ram, the processor, and video card and see if it looks more normal when it boots up. Then if it does, try connecting CD rom drive again and boot to your windows CD.:O

Hi, thats the screen that says "windows did not close down properly do you want to etc". It's like its booting fine but under a mist of interference. Do you happen to know the commands to boot in safe mode as i cant read it all, i.e. del when starting then f3 or something.

After POST but before the OS begins booting press F8 for advanced startup options. You'll find a list to choose from.

Thanks for all your help but no further forward. Here is a video of what happens. At the end it just stops working.

p.s. merry christmas all

lol.........well the short answer......... crysis.

The long answer- i got told that it looked like a heating issue that fried it. Maybe the fan wasnt working as well as it should have been or something. It had crashed a couple of times but restart always fixed it until i tried crysis and then it went byebye :chk:
