Kubuntu, any good?

like before I had one installed but took it off cause my new case didn't really have the room to put one and I didn't have any use for it... but both BIOS and Windows detect it... :O
Then just disable it in the BIOS, if you can. Do you still have the floppy cable attached to the motherboard?

I had problems posting... first it said avoid writing sms language then when I deleted a post (because I saw 2 posts...) the other one dissapeared and now reappeared by posting again... I had to put quotes otherwise it'd give the same old "no sms language" etc... so voila:
Yeah the floppy problem is solved, now another error (that was there before) I thought was related to the FDD error, but seems to be different:
udevd-event[2094]: run_program: '/sbin/modprobe' abnormal exit
and
/bin/sh: can't access tty: job control turned off
Don't have a clue of what it means. So far no luck with installing Kubuntu...

modprobe is a program in the /sbin/ directory or folder, & obviously the program doesnt exit correctly

BTW: when during the boot of the CD / DVD does the error occur

BTW: i dont know what is causing the error

Edit: also be aware that Feisty is still in beta, so it may not function correctly with all hardware

Actually I only boot from the CD as there's no other way to install it really... Other than that, I've no idea what to do to solve the problem... thanks for the help anyway!
