Hi all,
I'm hoping someone here with a bit of experience in repairing LCD's will be kind enough to give me some advice. I thought it would be best to ask around before going and ordering replacement parts.
I have two Samsung 2253bw monitors, which I was using in a nice dual monitor setup for about two years. Approxmiately two months ago, the primary monitor failed - here's exactly what happened:
Do I need to replace the backlight / CCFL? I've done some research about bad caps or inverters also possibly being the culprit, but I've never done any kind of monitor repair before.
If anyone would be able to point me in the right direction or link a resource on how to diagnose something like this, that would be so, so fantastic. Thank you in advance.

- Turn on in the morning, everything working normally for 5-10 minutes
- Suddenly goes dim, there is _slightly_ more light coming from the lower right hand corner of the screen
- Becomes progressively darker, eventually completely dark.
