Typical, I've been on this thing for all of 15 minutes and I've already downloaded and am running Firefox! Not quite sure how I installed it or even if I did, I've got a lot to learn about this OS.

Use it properly?, the thing is literally fool proof, anyone can use it after a 5 minute walkthough, just get yourself a better mouse. The nice benifit is just about no spyware/viruses, or driver crap, like ppl have said, it just runs. Then again Linux is almost the same way but you can't have it all.

hehe, yeah pretty much, the only problems is pretty much whatever you plug in will cost more than the whole shabang sadly. That's the rtouble with Macs.:(

yeah thats right, only memory hasent expanded that far, but soon memory will overplace hard drives, right now there are memory hard drives such as flash memory, they work much faster, and have more potential

Stay on track dudes:) How about posting some pics Penguin?
    off topic:
Ugh, I can't help it, flash memory huh, that does have potential, imagine have like 50 card slots where you can just keep poping them in and it automatically raids the lot. So far 4 gigs is the max for flash memory and I think 6 or 8 is as far as those micro drives go. Just think back in '98 a gig would cost you about $46 I belive, now it's under 1 in many cases. The best hard drives are for severs, 15,000rpm, damn that must be loud. Though raided raptors must be sweet too.

Wow, this thread has gotten quite a lot of mileage so far!

I'd love to except, rather sadly, I dont, own a camera at the moment. I've about fifteen computers in various states, four monitors, an obscene amount of spare hardware, but no printer and no camera. Maybe I'll post a few screenshots once I've gotten it tweaked a bit.

BTW, can you plug a standard PC IDE hard drive into the Mac? It *looks* like you can as it uses the same connections and the ribbon fits the PC hard drive but does it use the same technology?

Should be able to, the same brands make apple and PC drives anyway. I can't really see why not at least. Ram is a different and sad story however:(
