For years, my PC with a GTS 8500 card has worked flawlessly. There was a special in Newegg for a GT 240 EVGA card. Rather than upgrading my system, I basically killed it and need help in figuring out what happened. As soon as I put in the new card, the PC would not boot up. I thought that my PS was not powerful enough so I quickly turned it off and reseeded the old card. That too had the same problem. I gutted my other PC's PS and put it in this one, without any video card, the PC doesn't even start POST. I took off all the devices including the memory and I get a beeping sound every second. I put in 2 sticks of memory and I am back where I started. Has anyone ever seen this before? Is my new video card defective and in turn killed my mobo? Any help would help.
Thanks.
Thanks.
