Mineral Oil Submerged PC

    hey just wondering if any of you guys have ever done this, submerged your pc in mineral oil, if so what are the temps? 1 good thing about it i guess its completely silent :)

    lol nice find. really intresting crazy stuff that people do with their pc's these days. I wouldn't mind givin that a go my self one day, on a old system spec that is lol.

    I have seen a show about Japan's crazy ideas where one guy had his computer submerged in i think distilled water anyways he had gold fish in there with the rig.:doh:

    also I don't know if you saw this on the news a while ago some clever Japanese fish and chips owner had the bright idea of creating a fryer where the oil sits on top of water and the fish live underneath this hot oil which lies above and as he fries the chips bits of potato chips float down and the fish simply eat it lol madness :doh:

    i cant find any articles on the two :(

    BTW you can submerge it whith normal cooking oil

    standard cooking oil goes off then stinks disgusting, unless you mean 2nd hand cooking oil but even so that would look a mess with all the old bits of food floating around

    Edit: personally i wouldn't submerge the PSU

    lol that hurt my feelings :(

    anyways i have actually seen people on you tube use vegetable oil and plus most oils like rapeseed oil or linseed oil don't go off for many years. :)
