I thought I might share this here and see if I could get some input. I figure the forum is wide enough that someone might have a solution.
I have a ViewSonic A90f+ UltraBrite (1600x1200 19" flat screen CRT - not flat panel) monitor that is probably 3 years old.
I have a Sapphire brand X1800 graphics card.
A few months ago I started getting static on my monitor whenever the screen had dark colors displayed. Now it is so bad that my screen is barely viewable unless I have a window open with mostly white displayed.
However, when I plug my old monitor (6 years old - Philips 107s 1280-1024 17" regular tube CRT) it works completely fine.
The problem is somewhat intermittent. When it is brighter I don't get it. I thought it was because of the cold weather and my computer is near a cold wall - but just yesterday it was working completely fine. I thought that was because I shook my cords around but when I got up today it was acting up again.
Any ideas?
