    Did they cosult the Power Rangers to name this motherboard? In any case, [H]ard|OCP takes a look at MSI's 975X offering. It's not the most extreme overclocker, but outside of that and a few minor annoyances, they do say it's a pretty solid board.

    MSI did a masterful job with the 975X Platinum’s layout, with all components given adequate space. While active cooling was not included on the board’s Southbridge chipset, we found no board issues with this setup. The board revision is silk-screened on the board’s surface in between the Northbridge chipset and the primary PCI Express x16 slot. The board used for testing was a revision 2.1 board. For capacitors, MSI used components manufactured by Rubyconn (Japan) marked as MBZ, T&E Industries (USA) marked as CFJ / CFL, and Sanyo Semiconductor (USA) marked as SEPC.
