My video card is driving me crazy. Please, please, please help

I have the 8800GTX and it's driving me up the wall. I get this message when I start up the computer:
The graphics card detected in PCIE X16_2 or 3 SLI slot
Please move to PCIE X16_1 slot for non-SLI operation

So I moved it to the X16_1 and it ran windows in a wierd color. So I changed the color to 32bit and after that it wont show anything on the screen.

I have been trying this since yesterday with still no luck.
