Need help upgrading my PC!

I bought this ready build pc 3 years ago - HP Pavilion a6511.uk Desktop PC Product Specifications HP Pavilion a6511.uk Desktop PC - HP technical support (United Kingdom - English)

I cant play any good games on it and sometimes hd video laggs.

Am I right in thinking a new graphics card for about £60/$95.55 would solve all my problems?

I am a total hardware newb so please don't use big complicated hardware words lol

Hi,

A new video card would help as it appears that computer uses an integrated card for video. However, the site shows that the computer is running a 300w power supply and most of the newer graphics cards out today need one that is at least 400-500 watts to work correctly. A new card would definitely improve your performance but I cannot say that it will solve all the problems. A faster processor and more ram would also benefit your computer as well.
