No Audio Output Device Installed

My audio device (X-FI SB Sound Card) doesn't load up on the first boot, if i restart, it will work with no problems, however, it is annoying, does anyone know how to fix this?
 
Do you have Vista patched up to the latest version?
Do you have the latest drivers for your X-Fi card?
