no sound

hi
i have been running an wd80gb hd in my comp with a creative sound blaster live sound card, i have now installed a new 200gb sata hd and made my 80gb a slave (my music is still stored on the 80gb) but i cannot get and music to play
i have reistalled the sound cards drivers and my comp says they are installed and working fine.
i did not remove the soundcard drivers off the 80gb hd is this what is causing the problem??

Try un-installing the drivers completely. First use creative's un-installer and then Driver Cleaner to make sure. From there you can install them fresh and hopefully it'll work.

Can you see that Windows Media Player is playing an audio file properly on your computer????
