No sound

I was trying to adjust the volume on my computer and now i have no sound,everything was working fine and it is obvious that i have caused this problem.

When i click on the icon to adjust the speakers volume i get the message N0 AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE IS INSTALLED.

My computer is an Acer Aspire M1610 system is Windows Vista.

I am not sure how to fix this and would appreciate any help.
 
try restarting your PC, sometimes the PC doesn't recognize the drivers, i also have had this problem, it will occur sometimes
