ns-l22x-10a screen off to the right

I have an Insignia NS-L22X-10A monitor and the screen is about half an inch off to the right and I cant see sideways scroll bars or X buttons on maximized windows programs. The only thing I can guess is something to do with wiring or my graphics card which is an e-GeForce 8800GT some drivers with that or just the card could be messing it up but idk.

doesn't the monitor have some kind of auto adjustment feature (might be hidden within the menu)?

I recall that nvidia drivers had a nvidia control panel where one could run display optimization wizards and manually adjust the screen picture size, squeeze, rotation and position.
