no only motherboard, cpu, and graphics card, as the hdd and dvd rw and case and psu a 512mb of ram form his ocmputer will be going in it, and of course my tv tuner :p

surely amd-64 wont be that deer, as i am only wanting to go with amd-64

am thinking fo getting an x800pro, amd 64 3500+ or 3700+ (venice) and lanparty nf3 or 4 mobo to go wit it.

when i have build my amd64 rig, these will be the specs of my current system

    3.0ghz pentium 4
    ati radoen 9600
    20gb HDD
    dvd rom
    512mb ram
    dfi infinity 865 pe REV.B
    jeantech light fusion case
    400w power supply.

as you can see, only some minor changes like HDD, Case and power supply will be done to my current system.

oh ryt then like £400 for a new Graphics card, mobo and cpu should be good, erm...i know www.overclockers.co.uk does deals on mobo/RAM/Cpu's and they're all guaranteed to work together but you dont need the ram, well if you could find one cheap enough you could get the RAM with it and not have to take 512Mb out of your current one... but that could prove to be not such a good idea as money spent on RAM could be spent on a better Graphics card....hmmmm yeah just try what you've got, sounds pretty good

lol, i wouldent leave my old cmputer wit 1gb ram and new with 512, my main computer have to have at least 1gb ram, thats the minimum for me.
i find that newegg is the best as off there a AMD-64 venice 3700+ is about £185, but i dont know if newegg deliver to the uk.

For £400 you're not going to be able to get an X800pro and an Athlon64 3500 and good board, if you do then its going to be very tight.

i think it will be inbetween £407 and £420
as for £422 i managed to find a dfi lan party NF3 mother board, ati radoen x800pro, and AMD-64 3400+ newcastle, but that was AGP so unfirtunatly, that would be a bad choice, but think for about the same price i can get somthing simaler to that and an x800pro in pci-e, but i have not looked around yet :\.

anyway loggin off now to go watch james bond: the spy who loved me, a classic but ace film :p

    cya.
