Im not going to bother re-writing what i've just written like its my own views.... so heres what i read! enjoy! http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1950226,00.asp http://apple.slashdot.org/apple/06/04/18/1535214.shtml
Tux is not preparing for a battle because its just an opinion of what Apple should do, not what they are doing. If they did release it as open source, do you think it could compete against Linux? Development is much faster with Linux than OS X would be. Would OS X actually work as an open source project. Linux is developed just as the kernel, and other components are developed independently and packaged into distros. Would that mean that the OS X kernel would be developed independently? Why not just use Linux, if were going to do this they might as well.
"Prepair for battle tux" is meant to be taken as a joke. I Belive that OS X uses the Free BSD Kernal. "Why not just use Linux, if were going to do this they might as well.", choice is allways nice!
