Hi everyone,
I've read a bit about audio setups for pc and I am just lost. I was planning on buying a "LOGITECH Z5500 5.1 SPEAKER SYSTEM" for use with my pc.
I have a soundcard (razer barracuda ac-1) which has optical out.
If i connect the z5500 speakers via optical to the soundcard, will that give me proper 5.1?
Because currently i have it set to optical out to a proper yamaha hifi, and it dosn't work properly. By not working properly i mean, i can never get 5.1 to work correctly. Even though the yamaha can take dts and dolby, if i set the optical out to that, i dont get sound out the rear and center speakers, no matter what.
I have to set it to digital out 48khz and it seems to work.
I was hoping the proper pc sound system would work better.
Is this what i should do?
