play guitar through pc

    Hi all, I have a Gigabyte 57sli s4 mother board and I use the coax digital out to feed a pioneer av amp and that works great but what i would like to do is play my guitar through my pc i have a Zoom606 guitar effects and was wondering if i can take the output of that into the front panel mic input on my pc or is the output of the zoom going to be to much but then i can adjust the input volume useing the realtech audio tool that is part of the software provided with the mother board maybe , any tips can this work I don't whant to blow anything up;)

    According to wat i understood in ur question...I am answering!
    You can use Mic to get your Guitar input and if the sound is onboard then you can set the Mic volume from your desktop volume icon otherwise the software which u might have installed for your Sound Card...
