Port forwarding help

Geek Comrade
Okay I want to use bittorrent. So I already picked a port that I want to open, according to the guidelines given by the application. Now, here's what I don't understand: which port is it -- the "port from" or the "port to" ?? In my router's web interface, both of those need to be filled in (look below).

I don't get this whole to and from business. I thought there's only one port you open in the router and it forwards stuff sent to that port to the specified IP address... so why is it asking for 2 ports??

you want to fill both of them in with the same port number....

port from means the port that the internet will see
port to is the port on the computer that the router will send the traffic too

it means that you have have something running on port X on your machine, and have traffic from port Y on your router sent to it... I've never used different internal/external ports but I'm sure there is a worthwhile reason for being able to do so!
