Power Consumption

yea but the suplier cant tell me how much electric my computer has used.

in the morning these were the reading.

708898 low
721924 Norm

now they are:

708902 Low
721975 Norm
so does this mean i have used 6 units? (5 from 2-7 and 1 from 4 to 5) (Norm)??

No.
to work it out, u hav to do the maths this way.
low: 708902
-708898
---------
which gives u 4units

to work out normal

721975
-721924
which gives 51units

thats the way to work it out. our metre only displays one set of readings and ur's is a bit complicated which i dont really understand (the low and normal readings etc.)
u have to phone ur supplier to ask them how much they charge for one unit of electricity. the u just multiply that by the number of units used to get ur total in pence.
for example if they charged you 8pences per unit and u used 10 units, u multiply 8 by 10 to give u 80 pence

to work out normal

721975
-721924
which gives 51units

why do i - the whole last norm by the first norm?
were is the 51 units coming from, sorry, its just really confusing, i am very bad at maths, i proberbly could work it out if knowing what to do wasent so confusing.

well basically if u want to know the difference between a number for example if a number was 2000 and now it is 2150, to find the difference u obviously have to minus the smaller number by the larger one so in this case it will be 2150 - 2000 which is 150. so if this was in electricity format, it will be 150units used.

thats as simple as i can explain it, sorry if u still dont get it
