Yea well when I saw the first post of this thread I thought that there must not be something wrong with the drives, but maybe we have similar motherboard or something.. But now I'm starting to think it IS the drives and he got bad luck twice in a row. I can't seem to find anything else about this issue after searching for a while on Google either.
Well I ran SeaTools on the drive (just the quick one) and it said there was an error. I will be running the full test later and will get back to you all with the results. It does at this stage seem that I will be returning the drive.
devolution, return your drive. Seagate have confirmed that my drive is faulty. There are likely corrupt sectors on yours and Windows setup keeps trying to write to them, but fails.
