Hi there
1st time poster here !
Wonder if anyone has any idea as to what the hell is going on with my PC. Basically, every now and then after being turned off for a night or so, my PC won't turn back on.
Upon pressing the power button, i get a micro-second flash of my Blue fans and a split second whirr of the CPU fan. At that point i cant attempt to power back on unless i remove the physical power cable from the machine and reconnect.
Strange thing is that i CAN get the machine to boot and play fine if i remove the power connector from my Radeon GFX card and reconnect it. Strange.
Could this be a GFX card fault. I've tried this on two mobo's and the result's the same.
It's really frustrating as the problem is very intermittent.
Setup is :
XP3200+ at core speeds
1gig Crucial PC3200 (2x512) at 200mhz
Connect3D Radeon 9800XT 256mb
2xSamsung CDRW/DVD combos
120gig Maxtor SATA 7200rpm, 8mb
Asus A7N8X-E mobo latest bios
WinXP pro and all patches/drivers
Antec lanboy case, Antec 430w PSU
Anyone else had a similar kinda problem?
THanks, FoX
