Back to the first riddle ....why I think Belledonna may be the answer... The first I sought in starry skies = night The second passed before my eyes = shade (as in "a shade (ghost) pasted before his eyes") Night+shade = nightshade a medicinal herb Tis hard to lose one's sight - blind as bat or mole = Belledonna dialates the eyes and makes clear vision impossible... and of course a drug can't see delighted in hills and fields (where nightshade grows) I am no more my whole = belledonna is an extraction of nightshade
