Router/Modems

I have recently purchased a router/modem. The device's LED lights remain on (I think this is the norm) when I power-off the PC. Should I switch off the mains power supply to the PC from the wall socket, say, overnight, for instance?

I ask this, because the router/modem gets quiet warm/hot to the touch when it has been on for a long time. Will it do it any harm to leave it on permanently?

Cheers,

Dave.

no it should be ok, well i leave mine switched on

Its fine to leave it on, although its up to you whether you turn it off. Saves electricity, but won't do it any harm.
