running 2 pc's from same IPS

    Hi all
    New to this forum and fairly new to computing so go easy on me please:D
    The problem i have is I am moving back to my parents (no thats not my main problem but a big one any way:( ).
    My farther has a pc down stairs running AOL broadband, how do I connect to AOL fro my bedroom upstairs.

    sorry if this question is in the wrong place, addmin feel free to move if so.

    You need to use a router to share internet connections. If you don't have an ADSL one, then you'll need to get one to put it between the phone line and any computers.

    Or if you connect to the internet with a cable modem, then connect a router directly to the cable modem. Then connect all computers to the router.
