Slot 1 CPU cooling?

Which way should the fan on a Slot 1 CPU face?

Towards the processor blowing cold air onto the heasink?

or

Facing away from the processor blowing the hot air out?

Blowing onto the CPU for best results.

Dell Dimension XPS PIII 650Mhz has a duct which covers the whole slot assembly and leads to an extracting case fan.
So I suppose in this particular case it is blowing away from the heatsink.

That sounds like a good idea - suprising considering it's a Dell :D

I actually think that dell have got some very innovative ideas.
Cannot post a picture as I sold mine a while ago.
I wish I never....... I really loved my dell… :(
