I was trying to create a signature for myself and come out with this ugly signature... I 've used GIMP 2 for this. I dont know how to write a name which looks like a part of the picture. something like your write on sand or brick with the same colour.
It's a pretty cool siggy but i think it'd be better if you made the motion blur on your name a little less dramatic
Although the undead dude looks a bit stretched it's a great sig. Haveing not used Gimp 2 I couldn't say exactly what to do but the must be some transparency options to try out with the name.
Thats what I want to know coz at the moment I just have learned how to work in layers......I didnt used any creativity of mine. Just used some features of GIMP ... Like added two borders... inner one is fuzzy... shadow of the pic.....motion blur for the name and smudge on the borders because i dont like sharp corners.
http://www.gimptalk.com/topic.php?a=v&t=3621&f=14 Perhaps this is pertinant? Couldn't really find much.
Here is one more...... this software is cool........I m just using its own features....nothing my creativity. Cheers exfoliate..I ve tried working with some other tutorials but stuck in between.......
Very cool the Magic one is very sweet, I like how you've done up your name in mulitple ways there. Good work.
Thanks for the replies guys....... I ve learned about transparent effects....Its a function in GIMP in its Layers. Now my next aim will be to learn how to make round borders like ur picture exfliate.
Your wait is over Exfoliate. Here is my new sig with round corners....what do you think? DO I need more practice or this one will do?
Nice work man, I particularly like the Lion King one, great texture:good: The second is very cool but as Nic said, very large. It's almost 300k which is way to beefy to have posted every time. 50-60k is acutally the upper limet but don't worry about it man, nobody told you. The dimension limets are roughly 500x250 pixels or so unfortunately. Either way it's a great piece, just work on blending the edges or your render into the background so there's no hard edges dude Keep up the good work.
