Upgrade Advice and Priceing

The Athlon64 X2 chips are actually dual core. In that there are 2 processing cores on one chip sharing the same bus. So the motherbaord only has one socket. Most socket 939 mobos will support X2s but may require a BIOS update first for the ones that do not. I'd try and find one which does support it to avoid the hassle.

Thanks again addis and pelvis, im sure i read that, i probably just didnt take it in :).

Anyone know about the advantages of the deluxe / premium version of tha a8n-sli motherboard, and if anyones posting prices, if possible could they be in UK, as im British myself :)

And whats the difference between different memorys, this motherboard i think im going to purchase supports
Dual Channel
DDR266 (PC2100)
DDR333 (PC2700)
DDR400 (PC3200).
And how can i tell which makes give good performance and which dont?
 
I don't know about the differences between the two boards but someone else should advise.

When you choose RAM, go for DDR400 as it's the best performer out of all three you listed.
Go for a good brand like OCZ, Corsair, Geil, Mushkin, Patriot or Kingston. OCZ and Geil make excellent overclocking RAM but Corsair or Kingston should do for most needs.

Thanks, any1 know any sites that offer a big range of computer hardware, that accept British credit cards or paypal?
 
Dabs is pretty good http://www.dabs.com/ There's very little difference between SLI deluxe and Premium, performancewise they're right on par with each other, the Premimum is more expensive and offers a few more features you probably wouldn't use. The SLI deluxe has been around longer so it's a lot easier to trouble shoot not to mention currently less buggy (not that the premium is bad).
