I have a 120 GB hard drive. It came from Gateway with the drive in it. It has Windows XP on it. There is much data on it I do not want to lose. I had to remove it from the original computer when its motherboard fried.
Every computer I have put it in, which were other gateway computers, the monitor I have hooked to the computer shows that there is no video signal.
There was another gateway with a HDD I knew would run with the monitor. How do I hook the 120 GB in the same case so that the main drive would boot up, and the 120 GB would show as a secondary drive? The first drive has Windows ME.
I don't want to do anything fancy with the 120GB at the moment. All I want is to be able to see what's on it so I can recover data.
