just reinstalled un2k4 due to connection errors. Now when I try to join a game, it says something about an error querying master server and no connection. Every other thing works. Just not the game. Applied latest update, nothing. Any ideas?

I have had that problem before, and Windows XP's firewall has unblocked, or blocked, the games access to the internet when i uninstalled it.

Remove anything related to UT2K in the firewall permissions, and run the game, it should configure itself, or thats what I did.

failing that check over at Epic games, check their servers aren't down.

ut2k4 is ace, i play instagib ctf, and well anyhting thats instagib and i will play, i am not that good tho, well some people think i am really good at it, do you like intagib?

i have the editors choice version, when its all fully installed its almost 10gb :eek:

10! That's crazy, pound for pound it's the best value of any game in the history of gaming I'd say. There's just so much there! They added 4 gigs to the collectors edition? What's new in that?
I like instagib, it's really satasfying in my opinion. Haven't played online though:x: Damn 56k, hope my highspeed pans out.

what editors choice, i got it when it first came out, back then it was £50 but i bought it off www.cdwow.co.uk for i think £25, its only on one disk aswell, and becouse its on dvd ut2k4 editors choice edition installs a no cd crack too, there is some new gameplay modes like jailbreak, i love it, its like erm capther the flag exept you have to free your teammates out of the enemys jail.

If it's on a DVD how can it be 10gigs? Uber compression or something?

honistly i dont know, its just under 10 gigs, the installed file in my hard drive says that the file is exatly 9.68gb, but when you insert the dvd, the size on the dvd is only like 5.7gb
