I am trying to install a WDA-1320 D-Link Wireless Adapter card into my system, Intel Pentium Pro, 200 Mhz, chipset INtel Natoma 82440FX. I have tried installing the software first and then the card, and the other way. The computer finds both the "ethernet card" and the "PCI Serial Port", however, it won't work. Under the device manager, the serial port says "Device not configured correctly" and it can't find any software to make it work anywhere on my computer. The wireless card has drivers installed, but it says "Device cannot start [code 10]. Tec support at D-Link said the problem was I installed the device before the software. I tried it the way they said and it still didn't work. Somehow, after much trying, I got it to work last night for 2 hours. When I restarted the computer this morning, the problem was back all over again and I can't remember what I did to make it work. Please help! I am going crazy! What do I do?

Do you have any other devices plugged in to other pci ports, they could be causing a conlifct between both. Which I think is the causing your problem.

I have connected once on one of my friends laptop. I cant remember the softwares and drivers but I know the process. We had the same problem because the CD which d-link provides has some old software or something wrong with it. Here are the steps which I followed with the help of customer service technician. I believe it will help you as well.
Disconnect the modem wire from the computer. Remove the battery.
Go to device manager. Uninstall driver.
Go to controll panel > Uninstall softwares, I think there were two softwares that I installed.
Restart your computer.
put cd in and start installation. At one stage it will ask you to attach the modem or click here for modem search. At that time assemble your modem again. Connect it with the computer and press that button.
Remaining process is registration.

1 Uninstall the card and its software completely
2. Reboot
3. When prompted for the Found New Hardware, make sure the D-Link CD is in your drive, then in the Found New Hardware window, select search automatically, it should search the CD and find the required drivers for it and install them.
4. A Wireless Connection would have been created in Network Connections under Control panel, go there and search for your networks SSID and connect.
If device manager still says the device cannot start, I'd take a look at getting a replacement under warranty.
