A SATA2 HDD will work fine. You may have to place a jumper on the drive though.

Honestly, i'd say it's safe to just pull it out. USB was designed for that purpose. As mentioned, don't remove the drive when data is transferring.

They startup fine with Tuneup. Basically, i just wanted to know why or how they did that? I don't use Avast. I use Symantec.

Hi all, I woke up this morning to a computer that won't load any startup programs such as my anitvirus, firewall etc..... I went to msconfig and the entries are not there nor are they in the registry. For the meantime, i'm using Tuneup Utilites Startup Manager for the necessities but would...

Unless you doing any hardcore Audio, Video or Picture editing, on the desktop, it won't make much difference at all. Game wise, 1Gb or RAM is usually pretty good these days. With 2Gb, you'll definately see a difference with games like F.E.A.R and BF2 though!

Sorry to hiijack the thread. But suppose someone payed for a membership and then got their ass banned. Do they get thier money back? (And no, i'm not planning to get banned).

If you have a SATA2 hard drive controller, then the first choice would be the better. If you don't have a SATA2 controller, the choice does not matter that much.

As far as i know, there is no sure fire way to turn off automatic updates without receiving pop up dialog boxes. You are just going to have to live with it the way it is.

Simple fixes. Regarding updates: Go to system properties (control panel > System), Automatic Updates tab > then clcik 'Notify me but don't automatically download or install them'. Regarding the wireless: You should be able to simply disable the connection in Network Connections via right click...
