Ive already checked the CPU. Neither of the cores runs at maximum all the time. Im sure its dust because ive actually heard the fan grinding against dust and dust like poofing out of the vent. Sometimes the fan wont spin because of the dust.

Well, the thing is, it doesnt have an access cover for the mainboard. It only has the bottom half of the case. Someone told me you have to take the WHOLE thing apart, and i really do not want to have to do that.

would it be possible to take off just the bottom of the laptop to get to it?

Well i considered that at first, but really it would just blow the dust everywhere into the inside. I was thinking if i could get to the fan and heatsink, i could use a Q-tip to thoroughly clean every speck of dust out.

make sure it has enough battery charge to wake up. plug in the adapter and try it again. if it doesnt work, you can try to do a hard shutdown. just hold down the power button till the computer turns off

It doesnt have a setting to change the FSB speed, but i determined with ClockGen that my FSB speed is about 133 mhz.
