Hi I went for a Hiper 770 and that has it sorted my 8800gts is up and running, so it would seem my Hiper 580 did not have the guts to power the latest cards so Ill put that one aside for future use, and as for the Dax as I havn't hered of em I decided to stay clear.Thanx to all.:P

Anybody heard or no about this manufacturer, they do a 1000w psu that i can get localy, but is it any good as I cant seem to find much about them but I had a good look at it and the build quality is as good as it gets but that dont nessaserily make it a good buy even though its £ 114.

Thanx Dracos, I've looked into it a bit more and from what I've read it seems you maybe right, my Hiper Type R only has a 20amp +12v rail as a PCIE supply but if someone else could confirm the 8800 GTS 320mb needs 26amp therefore I'm gonna have to buy a more powerfull psu.:confused:

Update, My psu has a dedicated 12v rail for PCIE power supply, and I've updated the bios on motherboard and as for beeps I dont get any at start up only on shut down, one single beep, oh and the other pcie slot makes no differance.

The monitor's fine the computer works fine with my out going 7600gt

Yeh got it and tried that and it crashes its just that the Hiper has a dedicated sli power supply with 6 pins and that wont fit the mobo and the cards don't have power sockets on them when i turn on the pc i set the cards up to run sli and then its supposed to re boot but thats when it crashes...
