A decent graphics card for gaming?

hi,
im new too this forum and i have no idea how many times this queston has been asked. im after a decent AGP graphics card for playing games on, im on a tight budget so i dont want to be spending my life savings on a new graphics card.
ATM im playing battlefield 2, half-life 2, MoH spearhead, delta force :black hawk down, CS: source and i think that is about it, i would like to be able to play all these on full graphics, battlefield 2 especialy.
my system spec atm is:
amd 64 3400+
1gb pc3200
asrock k8 combo-z <- motherboard
500w psu
gainward 5600 agp nvidia graphics card.

i can play spearhead on full graphics with a decent fps with this card, but its not a very demanding game.
half-life 2 i can play on medium graphics fine.
battlefield 2 i can play on low/medium graphics, but this is my favourite game atm so i would like to be able to play it on medium/full grapics.

so im after an AGP graphics card that will be able to play battlefield 2 on medium/full graphics without having to break the piggy bank.
its been suggested that the ati 9800 pro would do the job, but im doubtful of that:rolleyes: . im quiet interested in the ati x800 or nvidia 6800.

you guys got any suggestions?

thanks a bunch

Jason

i think the X800 XTs are your best bet. Probaly one of the best AGP cards out there
the x800 xt has double be Pipelines, and far higher clock speeds, and i know you will be able to play maxed out graphics and 1280 1024 with the XT PE

for like 30 bucks more than a pro you can get an XT platinum for 280

is that $280? im from the U.K. wish i was in the US, its so much cheaper than the U.K.

sorry thats is US i didnt realize you were in teh UK, ill go see if i can find a good deal from a UK store. What is your price range.

Overclockers US I assume you're refering to? Yeah they do get a lot of nice deals, though I've never had a problem with Neweggs prices.

you do realize british pounds are worth more than the US dollar, and the prices might translate over to be more expensive than newegg prices.(i think)
