good idea, why didnt i think of that? try scanning with system utilities as JAY mentioned, or use TuneUp Utilities, RegMechanic or any other reg/system scanner! I dont know how much it'll do though.
Good idea lads ! Ive used a couple of tools to check the registry and stuff and i think ive located the problem ! For some reason the file name 'MANAGEDDX' is not installed for 9c , there is a 'manageddx' (9001) which i think is 9b ! For some reason the files in that folder are for Rome total war !?!?! Ive tried removing it but i still cant reinstall dx , i think its because that file now uses the Activision path ? Any idea what the path for manageddx should be ?
i did a quick search on google and all i can see about manageddx is that its included with dx9 and has something to do with InstallSheild!
