i looked on the F.E.A.R forums, and some people were getitng 50-100fps with a 9800XT, and some were able to play it brilliantly with a 6600GT too, so there must be some problem, i ahve updated F.E.A.R, i dont udnerstand it, i exited the game last time and it reset my computer, whats going on, i am pulling my hair out trying to solve this.


looks like i will have ot stick with far cry and doom 3:(

Yeah man seriously, this is one game where if your specs are higher, particularly amd+nvidia , the game gets buggier. Oh well, i still haven't finished Half Life 2 b/c of midterms and papers...i guess by the time i'm done with that a better patch for FEAR will be available. (Graduating May '06! no more college!)
 
with my new mobo and processor, i can now play F.E.A.R and on exiting F.E.A.R it does not reset my computer, also, in most areas i can play F.E.A.R on max detail with soft shadows enabled, max is about 120fps, min about 9fps, avarage is about 25-35fps, i noticed not alot of difference when i disabled soft shadows, and put AA to 2x AA and 8x AF, why cant 6x AF be enabled???

when i do disable soft shadows and have AA at 2x and AF at 8x, were i would normally get 18fps, i will get about 23fps.

i never though F.E.A.R would be this playable on my computer :D.
 
This thread hasn't been posted in during the last 2 months. It's safe to say the thread is dead and not to be brought back.
 
Well said WWR...something that's been discussed before...if it's more than two weeks without a post...and the post really isn't important...don't post it.
