no from what i can tell thats part of the chipset, let me try to find a better pic of your mobo cos i may be wrong about which chip it is
right your mobo is so new that the audio drivers are not yet available, try again in about 6 months, but in the meantime you may find this A/C 97 ALC850 may work try searching for AC 97 ALC850 and you will only find specs & design you mat be able to find a driver but i couldn't all i could find was this from Realtek (OEM) i think your original driver that came with your mobo or the driver i fonud are probably your best bet (ignore windows when it tells you that this is the incorrect driver for the hardware just use anyway, and see if it works)
Alright I will download the driver you gave me. I appreciate the help alot. thx Ill let you know if the driver works thx again
Well it didnt work, not that I had much hope in it, so I am probably just going to get a very cheap sound card. Like this one SABRENT SBT-SP6C Sound Card - Retail at Newegg.com If anyone has any other ideas before I get this plz tell. thx for help guys
Give last try to [link=http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloads1-3.aspx?Keyword=ALC850]this[/link] one as well. Remember to uninstall the previous drivers before downloading the new one. Good Luck~!
This is probably a obvious answer but I just dont know and dont want to add another false driver to my very big list of failing drivers so my question is which driver? top or bottom?
Check........top one is doccumentation in PDF file...lol Edit: Just comes in my mind that there might be some problem with that port. Did you ever heard sound from that port?
AHHHHHHH wait wait so....... um............ i need top? or bottom or both or... your gonna have to dumb it down as much as possible. the pdf just really threw me off. and as far as the port thing goes I never had any sound from it
Does Realtek calls its drivers reference design, if so then I have got a right link otherwise I give up. wait check [link=http://www.realtek.com.tw/products/products1-1.aspx?lineid=5]Codecs[/link] for your sound. And I have another question, did you contackt the technical staff of Asrock about this problem? Before buying a new sound card, I recommend talk to the company because if its a port problem, you will get replacement of it otherwise you will end up buying a defective Mobo.
I cannot get driver to work but thx. And if by defective mobo you mean just onboard sound not operating correctly wouldnt a pci sound card fix that problem? If I have to spend $12 to fix this problem then I will, but if you think that a sound card wont fix my problem then I will complain to ASrock.
1. Yup! I am just poniting out your sound card only. Another PCI sound card will fix the problem but thing is that, it will take one PCI slot from your computer which you might be using for some other purposes in the future and another main reason is why to buy a faulty piece when you can get the whole working. Or you just dont want to take the hassel of sending and recieving things...kind of lazy like me..lol 2. you are looking for Realtek ALC850 here.
