When exit a game and try to return to the desktop, my screen goes black almost every time, resulting in me having to restart my computer. The mouse pointer is still there and I can move that around and the keyboard still responds but the screen is totally black. The PC is less than a week...

I have a GeForce 7300 GS in my PC and the VDO tool tells me that it is SLI capable and just says add another graphics card for improved rendering. As it happens, I have another GeForce 7300 GS so would I be able to just stick it in there? Sorry if this seems really basic but I didn't even...

I went on live assistance on the linksys site and he reckons that I should do it all but with a computer that is wired into the computer and not wireless. So... just have to wait for my OS to arrive tomorrow then try it.

Yesterday when my new computer arrived I was unplugging all the old stuff and accidently pulled out the power cable from the router so I just plugged it back in and now when I start it up the power light is red, the WLAN is green and the Internet light is red. The DSL light won't even light up...

My new PC has about 1gig of RAM and my old pc had 256mb. The RAM is compatible so would it be possible to just stick the RAM from the old PC into the new one to make it a bit more.

Best band by far - Larrikin Love, seen them twice and both were amazing. Biggest dissapointment for me were Babyshambles who I saw last night but that was probably to do with all the dickheads in the crowd only there to try and bum Pete Doherty.

My old pc (new one coming today!) was so messed up that I had to use a room fan next to it to keep it from restarting and leaving that and the pc on all the time made the electricity bills a bit steep. Like everyone's said, it's more a matter of costs than the computer suffering damage.

Ah what an idiot I am. I opened up the pc and it was just the soundcard had come loose somehow! It's working now thankfully :) Cheers for the advice DavidNW and thanks for getting ready to help me, Karanislove.

I'm not even too sure if my speakers are showing up so that makes me wonder if the computer knows they're plugged in. The light shows up on them when I switch them on but I imagine that's from the power supply, not the computer.

My computer's been fine for a couple of years but yesterday the sound stopped working. I checked the control panel and it said there's no Audio Device and all the volume controls are greyed out. Don't know if that helps... Any ideas?

I got an A in Language and C in Lit at GCSE. I've taken AS English language and Literature this year so I'll get results in August. Fingers crossed I won't have to retake it. English exams just seem common sense to me. We were supposed to read Wuthering Heights three times for one forty minute...
